Farmland, air, water, and wildlife, the lifeblood of Yolo County is under attack by vested mining interests. The photos in this collage are of other existing open surface pit mines and a processing plant in Yolo County.
Yolo Land and Water Defense, alongside the Sierra Club has filed a lawsuit against Yolo County and Teichert Mining to curtail this destructive mining practice.
